Ambrosia Maple is Soft Maple with a touch of nature's artistry — the same pale, creamy base wood marked with sweeping grey, brown, and sometimes blue-green streaks left by the Ambrosia beetle during the tree's life. At 8/4 thickness, these boards carry the substantial weight and depth needed for furniture builds, turning projects, and structural applications where the one-of-a-kind figure is meant to be seen from every angle. No two boards share the same pattern, which means every pack is genuinely one of a kind.
This 8/4 stock is surfaced 2 sides (S2S) to 1-7/8" and machines cleanly, glues well, and takes oil and hardwax finishes beautifully.
