Ambrosia Maple is Soft Maple with a touch of nature's artistry — the same pale, creamy base wood marked with sweeping grey, brown, and sometimes blue-green streaks left by the Ambrosia beetle during the tree's life. No two boards share the same pattern, which means every pack is genuinely one of a kind. This figured stock is easy to work with and displays beautifully across a wide range of projects without the heavy machinery demands of thicker stock.
This 4/4 stock is surfaced to 7/8" and machines cleanly, sands to a smooth finish, and responds exceptionally well to oil and hardwax finishes that let the natural colour and figure do the talking.
