You’ve got two build-ready options:

- Skip-Dressed (S2S):
The boards are lightly planed so you can see the grain and start with flat reference faces.
Great if you want to do a bit of final smoothing or thickness dialing yourself using a sander, hand plane, or router sled.

- S4S Upgrade (Surfaced Four Sides):
The boards arrive fully jointed, planed, and square — ready to cut and assemble the moment you open the box.
This is perfect for beginners, small-shop setups, or anyone without milling tools.

If you're working out of a garage, basement, or small workspace, S4S lets you skip straight to building.

If you do have milling tools, S2S lets you control the final finish and dimensions without wasting thickness.
