About The Knotty Lumber Co.

We’re The Knotty Lumber Co., a small-batch hardwood yard in Hamilton, Ontario — built by woodworkers, for woodworkers.

• • We’re here to disrupt the online lumber industry.
  • Most online lumber sellers ship mystery boards, hide defects in the photos, or offer “no returns” because they know the quality won’t hold up.
  • We’re the opposite, we’re woodworkers too.
  • We know what it feels like to order lumber online and hope the boards are good enough for the project sitting on your bench.
  • That’s why we built a different kind of lumber company — one that’s transparent, honest, and obsessed with quality.

Our guarantee is way above industry standard

Not what you expected? Keep it. We replace it.
No hoops. No returns. No shipping lumber back.
Just real support from real woodworkers.

Why We Give Away Premium Lumber

We run these regular hardwood draws because:

• • We want more woodworkers to experience true premium hardwood, not big-box-store leftovers.

  • We want people to try us without risk.

  • We want to build a community.

  • Seeing the excitement from our winners is one of the best parts of our entire business.

  • Nothing beats the reactions when someone opens their lumber packs and realize..."This is the good stuff"

We’re not a faceless corporation.

We’re real people who mill, sort, and ship hardwood every week — and we’re proud to stand behind every board that leaves our yard.
