Zebrawood is one of the most instantly recognizable exotic hardwoods in the world — its light golden-brown heartwood dramatically crossed with bold dark brown to black streaks that create a striking zebra-stripe figure unlike any other species. Native to West Africa, each board carries its own unique pattern of stripes and figure, making every pack genuinely one of a kind. With a Janka hardness rating of ~1,575 lbf, Zebrawood combines serious density and durability with a polished finish that showcases its dramatic natural character to full effect.
This 4/4 stock is surfaced 2 sides (S2S) and works well with both machines and hand tools. Its interlocked and wavy grain rewards sharp tooling and careful feed direction — work with the grain to avoid tear-out and you'll be rewarded with a smooth, lustrous surface that makes Zebrawood's stripe pattern truly pop.
