Frequently Asked Questions
How do you determine the prices for your wood?
All prices are based off of unit of measurement commonly used in the wood industry called board footage used to determine the volume of lumber in a slab. 1 board foot is equal to 12 inches by 12 inches by 1 inch. To determine the price of a piece;
Step 1: Multiply the length in inches, by the width in inches, by the thickness in inches.
Step 2: Divide that number by 144. That number will be the total board feet in a piece.
Step 3: Multiply that number by the price per board foot.
How much does it cost for you to plane my piece for me?
If someone requests that we plane their lumber for them, we much charge our hourly rate (90$/hr) with a minimum of 30 minutes. This applies to if they purchase rough cut lumber from us, or contract us to plane lumber purchased elsewhere.
